Welcome to Hensley Ranch

Hensley Ranch is tucked away in Paradise Valley of Morgan Hill, California. A small, family-run facility, the Ranch is a safe, dynamic environment perfect for horses of all types and people of all ages. Nearly as much a zoo as a ranch, Hensley Ranch houses 6 horses, 1 sheep, 2 goats, 4 dogs, 3 bunnies, many chickens, and 3 cats.

Your Problem: Our Specialty!

Hensley Ranch specializes in problem horses who lack respect both on the ground and under saddle. If your horse has an issue, Hensley Ranch has the facilities and the ability to deal with it.

Lessons & Training

Head trainer Laura Hensely has been heavily involved with horses for eleven years, and has worked as a full time trainer/caregiver for over two years. She excelled on the western pleasure circuit with her horse Sonny's Name Sake ("Sonny"), before moving on to trail trials, where in just one season they rose to the top and became 2005 Regional and State Champions in the Advanced Junior Division.  Since January 2005, Laura has volunteered teaching lessons at a therapeutic riding facility. Laura has a unique ability to connect with horses, and has been able to work miracles, taming the untouchable, catching the uncatchable, and riding the unrideable.

Laura also provides basic riding instruction for children and adults. She has experience in working with students experiencing learning and attention issues and helping them enjoy the benefits of horseback riding.

Sharon Hensley, MA, (Learning Specialist and Educational Therapist), provides instruction and therapy to children with learning disabilities and more severe special needs.
