Custom
Cut Crystal sired
by Nifty and out of 3/4 Arabian mare R Crystal Petra.
A very Happy 12th Birthday to Brindi.
Terry and I are excited and more than
pleased to announce that on Friday November 9th, Brian and Wendi
Young surprised their daughter, Brindi with the birthday gift of a
young girls dreams. Flanked by four of her best friends, Brindi was
more than surprised, as she stood in the opening of the stall. To
her amazement, there stood a beautiful chestnut and white, 20 month
old, pinto filly with a big red bow tied around her neck. As Brindi
realized that the filly was her birthday gift, she slowly walked
toward her,
while the filly turned toward Brindi, and reached with
her nose to Brindi's outstretched hand. The look on Brindi's face
reflected the beginning of a long and close relationship. Brindi's
Grandmother Katheryn said to me that the filly looked just like
pictures that Brindi had been drawing since she was a very little
girl and that this was a dream come true for her. Within a few days
Brindi and Crystal were out, exploring new things and experiences
and with the help and guidence of Brindi's Mom, Wendi, the pair were
taking on trail obstacles in hand and getting very well connected.

Nifty's daughter, "Princess" gave birth May 14, 2006 to a
beautiful Nifty Grand son.
We are very proud to announce the arrival of "Mr.Custom To The
Max" Bay colt out of California Princess BL, sired by Makuba.
In early 2005 I went on a search for
"the perfect" mare to breed to Nifty in hopes of producing
our next driving star. I searched for months and found nothing that
Terry and I could settle on. We were disappointed until one afternoon
I went out to see my friend and long time partner Gramma Barbara. As I
looked into the field where a number of ponies were happily grazing on
fresh hay I saw a very pretty young mare that caught my eye as if I
had never seen her before. She was a solid bay with a blaze and a glow
that set her apart from the rest.
I asked Gramma Barbara "who is
that"? Her reply was one of some impatience as she stood in front
of me and said, "now Jane, that is Princess". I looked at
her then at the mare and back at Gramma Barbara and replied, "our
Princess"? Gramma Barbara said flatly "YES, our
Princess". I thought for a moment and asked Gramma Barbara if I
could have her, and she said yes...So this changed my plan and now I
was looking for the right stallion to breed to this lovely Nifty
daughter. I found this to be equally as difficult as the search for a
mare but finally decided on the wonderful German Riding Pony stallion
"Makuba" Owned by Klaus Biesenthal. Well, that was about the
longest gestation in history even though Max arrived two weeks early.
He is tall, elegant and all that we could hope for and more..
I am proud as a breeder of Sport Ponies
that Nifty has produced this lovely daughter and she is now raising a
stunning colt. Princess and Makuba are one incredible match and this
cross has taken our breeding program to a whole new direction that we
are very pleased with.

very animated and very friendly. She will be registered Half Welsh

What are
Nifty's Offpspring doing now?
|
  Terry
and I were please to hear how well this beautiful young pony and
young lady are doing. Just look at Bonnie's smile, it says
it all..."We bought JJ Custom Express (aka Gizmo) in 2006 for my
daughter. She has done very well at the local ETI shows and took
champion for the year in cross-rails & equitation. I'm attaching
a photo of them along with their trainer from a show this last
July. My daughter's name is Bonnie Uebele and her trainer is
Angela Schallau. This last year was the first year we showed
Gizmo under the show name Thurston Howell III. You can see
Bonnie's show record at
www.horseshowtime.com.
Overall for the year, at the ETI Corral 8 shows, Bonnie & Gizmo
took champion in English Equitation, English pleasure, hunter
hack, cross rails hunter, cross rails equitation over fences,

Owned
by Mary Laing of Culpepper Virginia "Sunset's Custom Copy"
AKA "Tipsy" is out of "Just A Friend" TB / Welsh
Mare sired by Nifty. He was 2 in May. Right now he measures 13.2 at
his withers, but he is 14 hands on his rearend as he is going through
a growth spurt. I suspect he is going to be a good size large when he
is done. He has a great mind on him and loves that he is being worked
now. When we started lounging him over the fences, he was literally
seeking out the next jump! He has a very mishevious and playful side
to him as well. You can't leave anything within mouths reach of his
stall or he will turn it into a toy! He walks around with his food bin
in his mouth like a dog. He is a wonderful pony! |

The
folks from Coppercreek Ranch have sent this lovely picture of "Custom
Crystal Cowgirl". We are proud of this lovely pony and the
folks at Coppercreek Ranch and the work they do with summer camp for
children and ponies: "We have had a professional photographer at
Coppercreek camp this last weekend and he took this fabulous shot of
Custom Crystal Cowgirl aka Christy. We love Christy's form in this
photo. The girl is Kaylie Lorber (from the Davis area) and she has
been coming to camp for quite sometime. The photo was taken by Steve
Beaudet. |

August
of 2007 - Copper Creek Camp Update from Camp director, Lauren."I
just had to email you this picture of Christy from yesterday. This girl
has "Central Core Disease" which means she cannot build muscle mass and
needs to ride a very gentle horse. She picked Christy and they are doing
very well together". |
