ABOUT TWO HORSE ENTERPRISES

TWO HORSE ENTERPRISES is dedicated to trail riding and horsecamping!!

We offer publications, maps, state trail guides, videos, hardware, how-to books and just plain ‘fun’ reading. Regardless if one is planning that very first trip or is a ‘pro’ – TWO HORSE – can help to make the day, weekend, week or longer trail ride or horsecamping adventure easier and safer.

Offering the usual horsecamping hardware such as Tree Savers, two styles of Knot Eliminators and Cotton Highline Leadropes, TWO HORSE also has hard-to-find items for trail riding and horsecamping.  For finding trails and camps, TWO HORSE offers over 30 individual state trail guides on where trails are located including descriptions, maps, trailheads, horsecamps and more.  In areas where horses are not allowed into or along rivers, streams or lakes, a Folding Canvas Water Pail can be useful for bringing water to the horse -- simply fold it up and tie on your saddle.  Osborne Heavy Duty Needles and some Waxed Thread will help repair a torn horse blanket or a pair of jeans!  A Trail Bell snapped to the center cinch or breast collar is helpful when riding in the wilderness to let other trail users (and critters such as bears) know you're on the trail.  And when home, a 'Trail Rider's Comment Card' should be filled out and mailed to the agency in charge of that trail or horsecamp so they knew a horsemen was in the area!

TWO HORSE offers videos on how to hobble train and “The Little Things That Count!” series includes Ground Handling Tips and Effective Riding Habits. If thinking about taking a Dressage or English horse out on the trails for cross training, “Hit the Trails” will answer one’s questions. For our mule trail riders and campers, the series “So….You Want to Buy a Mule” and “Reining in the Pines” will explain what to look for when selecting a good saddle mule and once the animal is in the barn, how to train for trail riding. For folks just starting or thinking about horsecamping, “Horse Sense” will answer a lot of questions such as getting stock ready to camp, tips on highlining, selecting campsites, feeding and more. As trail riders we have a responsibility to help maintain and build trails, the US Forest Service videos on “Surface Water Control”, “Constructing Trail Switchbacks”, “Basic Trail Maintenance” plus others will help with those trail building project days! “Good Horse Keeping” demonstrates how to manage and dispose of horse manure through field spreading, composting, redesign plus other tips.

Over 27 individual state trail guides for finding trails and camping facilities can be found in TWO HORSE Book section. Along with state trail guides are publications on trail riding, care, helpful hints, horsecamping, trailer maintenance, ‘bombproofing’ and even a book on what types of plants to consider when landscaping and replanting around barns and corrals. Remember not all plants are ‘horse safe’ and knowledge of which-is and which-isn’t can be helpful not only around the home barnyard but when out camping.

As a mail order business, we accept checks, Visa, MasterCard by phone, fax or at website. Our on-line ‘shopping cart’ is one of the most secure security systems on the internet. An order can be placed through TWO HORSE website or faxed. Plus we do not ‘store’ charge numbers. Which is why we always ask for a credit card number on each and every order – regardless of how many times one has ordered from TWO HORSE.

For all your trail riding and horsecamping needs, requests, help or just to talk ‘trail’ and ‘camping’ always contact TWO HORSE ENTERPRISES. If we can’t answer your question, we’ll find the answer for you because regardless of how long one has trail ridden or horsecamped, there’s always something to learn……
